What We Do

The MIL group aims to shift the perspective of solid materials, from passive structural matter to active, programmable systems. By leveraging advanced manufacturing as a design tool, we explore how functionality, responsiveness, and system-level behavior can be intentionally encoded into solid-state materials, paving the way toward future material–device technologies.

We are always interested in motivated students and researchers from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and materials science who are excited to explore new ideas at the intersection of manufacturing, materials, and devices.
